Dan & Kay Jupe, Part 2: A Second Prefab Log Cabin

Dan and Kay Jupe wanted a hunting cabin that felt warm and inviting rather than the stereotypical cold, bare-bones hunting shack, and after looking at various tiny log cabins and mobile-home-style options, they landed on Leland's. Visiting the Grandview showroom in person, they built a custom combination of two favorite models — the Lonestar's floor plan paired with the Settlement Harbor's windows — and worked with a Leland's team member named Sam, whom Dan praised for keeping them updated by email throughout the build.
They liked the finished cabin (plus the covered front and rear porches they added afterward) enough that they didn't want it occupied only by hunters, so they bought a second cabin — the Brazos, a two-bedroom, one-bath layout with a kitchen, living room, and stackable washer and dryer. Dan said the team made it easy to picture what they'd get even with a custom floor plan, and both he and Kay said Leland's was responsive and quick to fix anything that came up.
Because their land was already prepped from the first delivery, getting the second cabin sited was simple — they poured a concrete slab and had the cabin set on piers with skirting added afterward. The post closes noting the Brazos doubles as a comfortable guest spot in the off-season, not just a hunting cabin.
