Our Kentucky Cabin Factory Building Amish-Made Cabins in Munfordville Expands Offerings

This post spotlights Leland's cabin factory in Munfordville, Kentucky, running since 2010 in an area between Munfordville and Cub Run that's home to over 200 Amish families and a cluster of Amish-run businesses — sawmills, cabinet shops, and more — many of whose craftsmen build Leland's cabins, with cabinetry sourced from local Amish cabinetmakers. Cabins here range from 216 to over 2,000 square feet, with a standard 5/12 roof pitch for single-module cabins (so they can be transported) and an optional hinged design allowing up to a 10/12 pitch on double-module cabins for vaulted ceilings and larger windows — the 10/12 Trophy Peak can even add a loft with a full residential staircase and 8-foot ceilings. Despite being built in Kentucky, the post stresses cabins are certified and delivered to most states, engineered to each destination's residential code.

It announces an expanded lineup of 59 base floor plans and runs through the series: Trophy Peak (up to 3 bedrooms plus a full loft, big windows, a wood accent wall, optional wraparound deck); Cross Timbers (two modular sections joined on site for a larger footprint); Appalachian, the most popular series, a 2-bed/2-bath smart-size layout; Lincoln, a park-model-style cabin built to residential rather than RV code, aimed at vacation rentals or campgrounds; Boone, a compact 1-bed/1-bath under 400 square feet; and a Commercial series for rentals, campgrounds, schools, churches, and restroom/laundry facilities, built to order in both the Texas and Kentucky factories.
